When it comes to popularity, New York Knicks star guard Jalen Brunson compares to global superstars LeBron James and Steph Curry, according to Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.
During an appearance on Inside the NBA ahead of Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, Green acknowledged Brunson's blossoming popularity by comparing it to the two all-time legends.
“Impressive to me is, I've obviously played in six NBA Finals or whatever it is, but I played with Stephen Curry, and I played against LeBron James a lot. And the amount of Jalen Brunson jerseys I see stacks up to the amount of Stephen Curry and LeBron James jerseys you see,” Green said.
“And that's what's been most impressive to me is how much support they have for this team, but in particular, how much this city has banned around that guy who's the engine in pushing this whole thing forward."

Accolade-wise, Brunson has quite a way to go before he can truly be compared to guys like James or Curry, but there's no denying how popular Brunson has become in New York, and especially throughout the Knicks' current playoff run.
If Brunson can help lead the Knicks to the first NBA title in over 50 years, his global popularity will skyrocket even further.
