The base salaries are $665,000 (for 2003), $3.445 million (2004), $5 million (2005), $5 million (2006) and $6 million (2007). There are roster bonuses of $500,000 each in 2006-2007. this deal will cost them (cap wise) in a couple of years..they will not be paying him $5 - $6 mil per season when he is 35...

Bah! I hate the "27M" dollar deal figures...its so ridiculous.

The way the contract is laid out it is basically gonna cost them $10M over 2 years, then he'll probably renegotiate or be cut.

Add the signing bonus to the first two years of salary and you've got a 10m deal. If he has anything left at that point they'll re-negotiiate his deal IMO.

Anyway; it gives us some idea as to what it will cost to sign HOLIDAY...
