Borussia Dortmund defender Ramy Bensebaini could miss Saturday's Bundesliga clash at SV Hamburg but Julian Brandt and Niklas Süle may return.
Bensebaini has back problems “which he already had two or three weeks ago,” coach Niko Kovac told a news conference on Friday.
Defender Süle and forward Brandt had to sit out the 4-1 Champions League loss at Manchester City in midweek with toe and muscle problems respectively.
Süle will take part in a final training session and “we will also test Jule in training and then see if he is fit for tomorrow,” the coach added.
Dortmund, third domestically, could also see captain Emre Can take the field again.
After 173 days out with injury, he came on for Bensebaini in the 66th minute at City.
“He was injured for a long time, so we gave him a few minutes. He did well,” said Kovac.
