Dolphins sign kicker Gramatica

MIAMI (TICKER) -- Kicker Bill Gramatica was signed to a contract by the Miami Dolphins, the club announced Saturday.
Terms of the contract were not released.
With Olindo Mare and Matt Bryant already on the roster, the Dolphins become the first team since the NFL went to 53-man rosters in 1993 to have three placekickers on the roster at the same time.
The younger brother of Tampa Bay Buccaneers placekicker Martin Gramatica, he played the last three seasons for the Arizona Cardinals but signed with the New York Giants as a free agent in May before being released at the end of the preseason.
The 26-year-old has scored 162 points in 33 career games, converting all 60 extra-point attempts and 34-of-45 field goals, including a pair of 50-yarders. Gramatica missed the final 12 games of last year with a back injury.
Mare, who strained a calf muscle warming up prior to the October 10 contest with the New England Patriots, has been slow to recover from the injury.
