The Miami Dolphins' roster looks much different today than it did when the final whistles blew in their 38-10 Week 18 loss to the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium to close out their 2025 campaign and the Mike McDaniel Era in South Florida.
With that, the Dolphins still need plenty of help before they take the field for the first time in 2026.
During his pre-draft media availability on Wednesday, new Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan explained that the team "doesn't have a ton of established players" yet. And, with all of their holes on both sides of the ball, Miami may lean one way when it comes to trades during the 2026 NFL draft.
"It's no different than when you guys ask me about trading players. I'm always going to pick up the phone," Sullivan said. "I think it probably is fair to say it's more likely that we'll move back than move up. I think we need all 11 picks, but you never say never."
Sullivan was also asked if it were possible that the team could have upwards of eight rookies starting in 2026, and he didn't shut that down, meaning this draft class will likely get opportunities to play meaningful reps early and often.
