The Los Angeles Dodgers will be missing outfielder Teoscar Hernandez for at least a few weeks on the injured list with a hamstring injury.

Hernandez hurt his hamstring while running to first base early on in the game. He hit a weak grounder, and while running at full effort to beat the throw, he pulled up and started grabbing his left leg.

Shortly after, he entered the dugout and banged his helmet, while manager Dave Roberts was left shaking his head, knowing that he had lost a second player in as many days.

Just on Tuesday, **** Hernandez suffered an injury and went on the IL, and now, Roberts has confirmed that Teoscar will be out.

Given how productive Teoscar has been, the Dodgers will miss his hitting — he posted an .892 OPS.

“Disappointing,” manager Dave Roberts said. “He’s been playing so well, and he’s a big part of what we’re doing. So to lose him for any length of time is not great.

“Don’t know how severe it is, he tested well. We’re gonna get a scan tomorrow. Obviously it’s an IL and there’s just no timeline but something like that obviously is going to be a few weeks at the minimum.”

What are the options to replace Teoscar Hernandez?

The Dodgers could end up calling up Ryan Ward, the long-time minor leaguer who made his long-awaited major league debut back in April.

Additionally, Alek Thomas and Jack Suwinski, two players added via waivers, could be other alternatives for Los Angeles to explore.

Finally, the Dodgers could call up James Tibbs II, who has a 1.028 and 12 home runs in Oklahoma City.

Of all the options, Ward stands out as the easiest. He is an organizational veteran who can slug and deserves a run in the majors to really see what he can do.

His showcase could potentially lead to him being packaged in a trade as well.
