Well here’s my miracle list of Cardinal Selections. It requires fortune smile on the Cards and that the Cards are smart enough to take advantage.

Round 1 Terrell Suggs For once the Cards do the smart thing. He may never be a Pro Bowl player, but he will pressure the quarterback and that alone will improve the defense.

Round 2 Dewayne White He’s the second best Dewayne on the board. I’m not worried about Suggs. I just want two real defensive ends.

Round 3 Anquan Boldin Easily the most underrated receiver of the day one group. He’s not a burner, but he is an outstanding athlete who is just learning the position. Don’t believe the reviews about him being a possession receiver. Jerry Rice proves speed isn’t the only weapon. Boldin isn’t Rice, but he is better than everyone but the top two receivers. If he’s gone I expect Rashean Mathis will be too, but if not, take him. The final fallback is Charles Tillman the corner from La. Laf. He may end up as a safety, but he should be an outstanding nickel back who could cover the taller receivers and tight ends.

Round 4 Dan Koppen He’s has great technique and is the best college center at calling blocking assignments. Koppen is tough and tough-minded. He knows his job and does it. If he’s gone and they didn’t take two DEs (they probably won’t) I’d go with Antwan Peek if he is still on the board or Shurron Pierson. They are likely only rush specialists, but good ones.

Round 5 Tony Pashos Someday Big will move to tackle and this guy is his replacement. He is not ideally mobile, but he moves the pile. He could be an outstanding drive blocker.

Round 6 Bryan Scott A “big” corner who likely plays strong safety in the NFL. He’s not a great cover guy, but he’s decent. He is a force against the run and should be a fine special teams player.

Round 6 Doug Garbriel This guy needs Sullivan’s magic, but he is a big play receiver. He can catch the ball in traffic, has enough speed to get separation and can develop. He plays to win. If either of these two aren’t there I’d take Arnaz Battle, another raw receiver with big potential.

Round 7 David Kircus He was a touchdown machine at Grand Valley. Yeah, the competition was easier but with 6’1” size, 4.47 speed and a 40” vertical, this guy could develop.

Here’s a few other names for the late rounds. I’ll give you a few more after I see how the early rounds go.

Harry Dave Te Thomas was talking about CB Ivan Taylor and he would be a great pick in the 5th for us. What do you think about this CB Harry?

THE BEST ATHLETE IN THE DRAFT, HANDS DOWN, PERIOD, EXCLAMATION POINT!

Ivan Taylor Louisiana-Lafayette, 6:00.3-202…Want to know who has been even more busier than American Airlines flying around this country (to visit a record 27 NFL teams)? Want to know who even coach Tom Shaw, Deion Sanders’ trainer calls, “the best athlete I’ve ever coached” is? Want to know what EVERYONE in the league knows right now? They all “like Ike!” Ivan “Ike” Taylor has only one year of cornerback experience, yet, when teams come to work him out, they leave dumbfounded, shaking their stop watches (4.19 in the 40-yard dash), marveling at this version of Superman (able to leap higher than the tallest building, Ike has a 44-inch vertical), amazed of his physique (3.5% body fat), explosion, quickness and most of all, the greatest word of all – potential. Before all is said and done, this athlete will become just as great of a football player. If not, I am giving up my day job!

I am in agreement with your top 3 picks...add two pass rushers and throw dennis johnson into the mix - and hopefully this huge hole will be fixed for a few years..We can address the weak interior spot next season..at least we can alternate two experienced players on the interior (tanner and davis) with bell and bryant..this is a way better option than alternating fred wakefield, alton moore, etc...we could use 2 ends. we can sign marcus robsinson or another vet receiver and take a 3rd round guy like you suggest..

If we take Leftwitch, Dewayne White would be a great DE pick in round two.
I'd take Boldin in the third in a flash. But, he may not make it out of the second round.

Boldin

 Holy crap will I be happy if we get Boldin in the 3rd round. Succeeded against top college competition and did so by being a consistent WR.

I like Boldin too. I have this weird attraction to FSU....I don't know what it is, but I really like Seminole football. I watch them more than almost any other team, even ASU.

Boldin was recruited as an athletic QB, but moved to receiver. He is strong, quick and amazingly athletic. Harry is right, he could be a pretty good NFL receiver....forget his 40 times he is a player.

I like Tillman's chance better than Taylor, though they both played well. Taylor had a lot of problems with grades and only was elligible for two years. He only played corner part time and shows very weak technique.

Dave and Mac talk frequently and if he says Mac likes him, he likely does and Mac usually likes Dave's choices. Wilson was a Dave Te recommendation.

I am not sure Taylor can contribute on special teams, but his speed size ratio is impressive. He has tools, but it's hard to learn everything at the NFL level.
