I watched now all 3 our Divisional Opponents and had some observations:
Starting with the Seahawks:
The D does look weaker, way weaker that I thought, Luck isn't really at 100% but on a normal day he would probalby score at will on them.
And on O, Russel Wilson did look a step slower than last year, and I rewatched his snaps but I think he still will have enough to have one or two more elusive years before he hits the wall. The WR don't look good.
Rashad looked good but we will see how good he really is against a real D ... the Colts are a team that lives from the O (oh and Luck looked like should be at 100% after the first game of the season). Did someone had a Griffin sighting? I watched him and he didn't look like someone you "missed" on at the moment, maybe that changes, but for now, the other teams passed on him because they thought the missing hand is the turning point in the pros Capi Cap looked better last preseason than him ... than again Capi Cap was cut ... I don't know yet.
The 49ers next:
They looked okayish but nothing I saw made me believe that they can go higher than 7-9, really the D isn't great and the O still didn't show that they could produce when the opponent plays, but we will see when the season starts.
The Rams:
They looked atrosicous, nothing to see there, no starter and most of the backups shouldn't be in the NFL ... they didn't even have a chance against the backups and the campfooder of the Ravens ... that team has no depth, that could bite them really hard. But other than that, nothing was seen here.
So for me now, the Cards if they can play well, they could be the second best team in the division with Bradford healthy and good play even the best team, on the other hand they could easily be the worst ... this season is the first in many years, were I don't know, what to expect from our team, I hope I have a better understanding of what they are capable of.
Other takes for me, the NYJ look really good, they will push for a playoff birth. I get why some are in love with Darnold but we will see if he has what it takes for the long run.
Atlanta's window may be closed, Colts play another year of mediocrity but with the weak Division they might have a chance with Luck that seems to get back to 100% in the next weeks.
Ravens looked good in both outings, they will be back in the playoffs. Jackson didn't look good, he has to learn to throw better but we will see.
Dallas looked awful.
Chicago is back in Cutlerland with Turbisky, good enough to not loose out, not good enough for the playoff hunt.
Carolina is maybe done, Cam isn't the Cam of 2015 anymore and if he doesn't play well, the D doesn't show the potential to get them going.
Bills, Kelvin Benjamin was a steal, I wanted him last year in a trade and he showed that he is a good WR. Bills QB is Petermann, he looked good, but McCarron didn't look good expect for 2-3 plays and Josh Allen ... gosh ... it was great that they drafted him and not us. But they have a great rungame. Still Tyrod Pryor is a better QB than all 3 of the guys now on the rooster.
