The biggest talk of college athletics over the last few weeks has been around the possibility of the NCAA moving to a 5-in-5 rule, meaning five years to play five years of your college sport.

There is plenty of momentum for this to go through, as redshirt years have practically become non-existent, but will the NCAA make the move official?

According to a new report, it seems we will start to get some answers early next week.

Per Jon Rothstien, the Division 1 Board of Directors will receive a report about the age-based eligibility report from the D1 Cabinet on Monday. This could prove to be a big day for how this rule would play out, and potentially other issues, such as if current players would be grandfathered in (like Otega Oweh).

Multiple options are being reviewed regarding parameters for this potential rule & when it will be implemented if passed by a future vote.

Sounds like we will start to get some more info on how that will go in the next few weeks.
