Aidan Dauble and Dylan Donate each scored 19 points as Exeter stayed alive in the District 3 boys Class 5A basketball tournament on Thursday night with a 73-59 win over Elco in the consolation bracket.
The Eagles (16-10) will play Greencastle Antrim in the next round of consolations Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Greencastle Antrim.
Exeter has to win that game and the ninth-place game on Thursday, Feb. 26 to qualify for the PIAA tournament.
Greencastle Antrim (19-6) defeated Manheim Central 62-58 Thursday night to stay alive for a state tourney berth.
Elco led 14-10 after the first quarter, but Exeter outscored Elco 22-9 in the second quarter for a 32-23 halftime lead. Donate had 8 points, hitting two 3-pointers, and Jayden Ware and Braylon Reinert each chipped in 4 points.
Reinert finished with 12 points and Ware 11.
