The Oregon Ducks have a history in the fashion game. When recruits come to visit, they can pick any uniform combination from Oregon's history to wear for photos.
However, it seems like the Ducks might have added to that collection this spring. Oregon cornerbacks coach Rashad Wadood posted to his Instagram story on Friday while meeting with the final round of official visitors in Eugene. He posted a photo of what appears to be a new helmet that the Ducks haven't worn on the field yet, but they could during the 2026 season.
The new helmet has a shiny green shell with a white logo, stripe, and facemask. The Oregon logo on the side of the helmet has become less common in recent years. The Ducks have often worn wings of varying colors on the sides of different helmets. The "O" logo made an appearance in only four games last season.
At first glance, the new green helmet looks like an inverse of the new helmet the Ducks wore last season at home against Minnesota. The Ducks wore a white shell with a green "O" logo and a double green stripe, along with a green facemask.
Oregon isn't letting the new helmet sit on the shelf either. Four-star athlete Tae Walden Jr., who stars at receiver and cornerback in Collierville, Tennessee, is visiting Eugene this weekend to wrap up his official visits before making a commitment decision. In a behind-the-scenes look at Walden's photoshoot with the Ducks, he can be seen wearing the helmet with Oregon's white and green uniforms, last worn on the field in 2023.
Time will tell if the helmet is ever worn on the field for the Ducks, either under the bright lights at Autzen Stadium or on the road in Big Ten play. Oregon is usually good for at least one or two new looks every season, sometimes unveiling them without warning.
