Supposedly, yesterday's game against the Cards was Dorsey's tryout to be the future starting QB. At least that is what the announcers were preaching.

Being a U of Miami homer, I was biasedly impressed.

Looks like his grasp of the mental aspects overcame his physical aspect. Sorry it had to be the Cards, but winning on the road and playing with an NFL Europe backfield and a lame duck coach counts for something. Right now I wish he was on the Big Red roster. I begged for that to happen when he was available. Maybe not a bonafide starter, but he is the reincarnation of Bernie Kosar.

If the Niners pass on Matt Leinart or Aaron Rodgers in favor of Ken Dorsey, the fans in the Bay will riot. My roommate is a Niners fan as are many of my friends from college who I speak with on a regular basis. They, unlike many Cardinal fans, understand that tearing up a below average defense does not equate to "quarterback of the future" status, especially when said QB is a scatter-armed "heart attack waiting to happen" every time he drops back.

So would that mean Rattay or Dorsey goes away with a QB pick by the 9ers? I'm thinking Rattay makes a whole lot more money than Dorsey. 9ers are in cap Hell for a few more years, so I think $$$$ is a big factor.

I don't think they'll draft one of those guys either because of their ownership, just like I don't see the Cards drafting one of those guys. That being said, very few in San Fran. see either of these guys being the answer at QB. They have had Pro Bowlers at the QB position for the last two decades and Dorsey/Rattay aren't going to cut it for a spolied fanbase. But that's what they're going to get stuck with.

Let us see how the guy performs against a tough NFL team and not against the Cards.

Leinart at one time had a very serious shoulder injury. This may well factor in to where he will be selected in the draft.

I swear if I was a GM, I'd wait until the 2nd or 3rd round and grab Stefan LeFlors of Louisville. Most accurate arm I have seen this year and a whole bunch of athleticism. I know. He is too short. The guy can flat out play. No smaller than Brees, Vick, Rattay, et al.

Rattay threw for over 400 yds against us in SF. So who cares? Their next coach will have to decide.

LeFlors reminds alot of Joe Germaine. He was the most accurate passer i have seen in college and i thought he would be a very good pro but i don't even think he's in the NFL anymore.I don't know what happened to Germain. He was on track to be a starter in St.Louis and then after a bad pre-season game Vermeil or Martz dumped and he has never been the same.

I just can't believe we couldn't beat the Niners ONCE this season - they are beyond pathetic.

It took all of 5 minutes for my friends to bring up how the Cardinals got SWEPT (I still can't believe it) by the 9er's. Man, that was ugly...

Even when the 9er's are bad they deal to us. Are we that pathetic?
