The LeBron James free agency chase is still ongoing after nearly a month. One team pursuing him dropped what initially appeared to be a massive clue into his decision.
On Tuesday night, the Miami Heat added a scheduled livestream to its YouTube page titled "LeBron James Introductory Press Conference." It was dated for July 27. Fans quickly found the link and news of its existence went viral on social media.
Miami is insisting it was a mistake from its social media team, however. In regard to the Heat actually securing LeBron, the Miami Herald's Anthony Chiang reported "there is no validity to it right now."
Miami's denial hasn't stopped speculation from running rampant on the internet. With James seemingly coming to a decision soon, we'll see if there's smoke (and Heat) where there's fire.
Here are Kalshi's latest next team odds for LeBron:
James has no deadline to make a decision. His agent, Rich Paul, says he's earned the right to take his time.
James has won four NBA titles. He won his first two with the Heat before taking the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers to championship glory.
