Did ESPN end its Make-A-Wish partnership amid "company-wide cost-cutting measures" on Tuesday?

No, no, definitely not. The troll account Wesley Steinberg shared this "report" as a way to trick people amid Tuesday's very real layoffs at the company, but this Make-A-Wish post is absolutely not true. Again, Steinberg is a known troll account with a history of trying to confuse people into thinking absolute garbage like this is real.

Even worse, Awful Announcing head Ben Koo said he had ESPN people reaching out to him, thinking this was legitimate. It is not; it's just a really bad piece of "satire" meant to prank people into thinking it's real. It's not.

Again, just so we're absolutely clear, this is not real. ESPN did not end its Make-A-Wish partnership. It's fake.

BREAKING: ESPN has ended its partnership with Make-A-Wish as part of company-wide cost-cutting measures.

I've had multiple ESPN folks reach out about this, believing it's true.

It's not....

This account has fooled a ton of people in the past. Doesn't say it's satire.

Great, it's allowed to be on X and monetize putting out lies. pic.twitter.com/i5dpsLhCDC

This just stinks; X (Twitter) and other social media platforms need to crack down on this mess.

Any other fake posts we should be aware of concerning ESPN?

Sadly, yes.
