Dianna Russini body cam video: Leaked footage disputes reporter's Kevin O'Connell traffic ticket story originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Dianna Russini's apparent affair with New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrable has led to social media unearthing Russini's past comments on her personal life.
Among the stories that Russini told involved a situation with a police officer just last January, when Russini claimed to use her access to NFL head coaches to get out of a ticket. That story once again gained steam over the past week, leading to questions about who Russini may have contacted to get out of a ticket.
Now, body cam video from the traffic stop reveals what happened when Russini got out of a ticket, and the situation didn't go as she said in the story. Here's what the video shows.

Dianna Russini body cam video
In January, Russini was pulled over in Ridgewood, New Jersey while simultaneously driving and talking on the phone. While Russini claimed to have FaceTimed an NFL head coach to get out of the ticket, the body cam video shows that wasn't the case.
BREAKING - I have the bodycam video of Dianna Russini namedropping her way out of a ticket for texting while driving.
She claimed she got off by allowing the cop to FaceTime with his favorite NFL head coach. This video shows something a little different.https://t.co/HIUkgGh7Y0

"I'm an NFL reporter, and I just broke that Sean McDermott got fired from the Bills," Russini explained to the officer who pulled her over. "I was gonna pull over, because I have to make calls. I know you don't care, but I just wanted you to know my reason why."
Russini then tried to interest the officer by talking about former New York Giants coach Brian Daboll, seemingly with the idea that the officer was a Giants fan.
"You know who I was on the phone with? Brian Daboll," she said. "He wants the (Bills) job."
The officer admitted to being a Minnesota Vikings fan, leading to an interaction between Russini and the officer in which Russini showed him her text messages with Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell. The officer ultimately just gave Russini a warning for the incident.
"I'm gonna cut you a break on the cellphone. I understand your job requires you to be on the phone a lot," the officer said. "Just try to wait til you get home, OK?"
Ultimately, while Russini used her job to talk her way out of a ticket, the body cam video doesn't show her specifically FaceTiming a coach to help her.
Dianna Russini story about FaceTiming NFL coach
The New York Times released a story on June 24 going into detail on Dianna Russini's relationship with Mike Vrabel and overall actions as an NFL insider. That story includes a section in which Russini admitted on a podcast to FaceTiming a head coach to get out of a traffic ticket.
"I FaceTime the head coach," Russini said on the podcast. "Head coach is in his office. He said, 'What’s up?' I go, 'I just got pulled over and I just wanted you to meet my friend, Officer Joe.'"

Russini admitted the move was unethical, but she claimed it worked and she got out of the ticket as a result.
Who is the NFL coach from Dianna Russini's story?
The body cam footage seems to reveal that Russini didn't FaceTime a coach to get out of a ticket. However, she did get pulled over by an officer who was a Vikings fan, so she proved her connection with Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell as a way to try and avoid the ticket.
Therefore, the coach that Russini was referencing seems to be O'Connell, even though there is no proof that the two FaceTimed. Russini also mentioned former Giants coach Brian Daboll in the interaction, as she said she was talking to Daboll on the phone while driving.
