WeBo Softball

The Western Boone softball team dropped the first game of their conference series to Southmont 6-3.

Down 2-0 in the fourth, Western Boone tied the game when Addi Lee scored on a passed ball and Mady Monks drove in Mickey Burns with a double.

But Southmont scored in each of the next three innings to go up 6-2.

The Stars tried to rally in the seventh, with Monks and Kenzlei Mathews reaching on errors to lead off the inning. Caydence Paris drove in a run with a ground out, but the next two batters were retired to end the game.

Lee, Burns, and Kensley Blankenship also had hits for the Stars.

The two teams are set to meet again on Thursday.

Lebanon Baseball

The Lebanon baseball team lost to Lafayette Jeff 6-0 at Loeb Stadium on Tuesday.

A five-running second inning doomed the Tigers in the game.

Camden Hawkins was 3-for-3, with Andrew Kaylor going 2-for-3.

Jacob Linton and Chris Hill also had hits.

The Tigers will host Kokomo on Thursday for senior night.
