ATLANTA – Phoenix Suns star guard Devin Booker suffered a right ankle injury late in the third quarter of Friday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena.

The Suns lost Jalen Green to injury in the first quarter as the team ruled him out at halftime under precautionary right hamstring tightness.

Green was in his second game back after missing 33 consecutive games with a right hamstring injury. He’s only played four games in his first season with the Suns, who acquired him from Houston in the Kevin Durant trade.

As for Booker, he was running back down the court looking back when he stepped on Hawks forward Onyeka Okongwu’s foot and went down.

Played resumed with Booker still on the ground near mid court. When play stopped, Booker remained down. When he got up, Booker needed help from Suns staff to exit as he limped off the court.

Booker had 31 points in 28 minutes, shooting 5-of-9 from 3. Phoenix led, 91-84, after three quarters.

Booker sprained his left ankle Jan. 13 at Miami to begin the six-game road trip. He left that game in the third quarter, but he returned in the fourth to finish the game.

Booker missed the next game Jan. 15 against Detroit, returned the game after that, Jan. 17, against New York.
