While the NFL schedule release has dominated the spotlight on Wednesday—with the full 2025–26 slate for all 32 teams set to be unveiled at 8 p.m. ET—the Baltimore Ravens made headlines of their own with a major announcement.
After a standout debut season in Baltimore, following eight years with the Tennessee Titans, Derrick Henry and the Ravens have agreed to a significant two-year, $30 million contract extension.
The news quickly drew a strong reaction from Henry, who took to social media to share a powerful message after locking in the deal ahead of his second season with the team.
Henry’s previous contract was set to expire after the 2025 season. Now, at age 31, the former Alabama Crimson Tide star is under contract with the Ravens through 2027, giving him the opportunity to continue pursuing a Super Bowl alongside two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Last season, Henry ranked second only to Saquon Barkley in terms of production among NFL running backs. He carried the ball 325 times for 1,921 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.
