With Walt Harris fired today maybe Denny should return to the college ranks and take over the dreadful program (and yes he has done wonders with bad programs-right) at Stanford again. He has many contacts at the school and you know Bill Walsh would help if he chose to return to Palo Alto. This way he could resign and the Cards would be off the hook for additional costs.

I think he would do it if it was open in 2008. I think he will take the $2.5 million due from the Cards and sit out the next year.

Surely at Stanford they'd be smart enough not to take him.
Why? He turned that program around once before.
I wonder if Denny gets a tuition break?
