Colorado head coach and NFL legend Deion Sanders might want to go through his past social media posts and take out any slander for the Cleveland Browns.

After his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, went to Cleveland in the 2025 NFL Draft's fifth round on Saturday, the internet found an old tweet where Deion Sanders basically encouraged any young quarterback to pull an Eli Manning and refuse to play in Cleveland.

2025 NFL Draft grades: Cleveland Browns draft Shedeur Sanders at No. 144

Of course, Manning infamously didn't want to go play for the Los Angeles Chargers and landed with the New York Giants instead during the 2004 NFL Draft. Sanders basically recommends any young quarterback to make the same approach in this post.

Sure, the post was made in March 2018 in the NFL Draft cycle where quarterback Baker Mayfield went to the Browns with the first-overall pick. It's not a post from last week or anything. However, the irony is obvious all these years later after Cleveland stopped Shedeur Sanders' draft slide by selecting him.

I love what the @Browns have done this offseason but if im a young QB ain't no way im going to Cleveland. I would pull a ELI MANNING If possible. #ThinkAboutthat#Truth
