The New York Giants hold the third overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft and it's anyone's guess who they might take.
Some believe they will end up with one of the draft's two best players, Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter or Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter.
Then some still believe the Giants will answer the clamoring call for them to finally nail down a potential franchise quarterback such as Miami's Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders of Colorado.
With Ward almost certain to go first overall to Tennessee and not likely to get past Cleveland at No. 2 if the Titans pass, the Giants could be looking at at least one of the big two and Sanders.
ESPN analyst Peter Schrager says don't count out a Giants-Sanders union come Thursday night.
Many experts think Sanders is a reach at No. 3 and the Giants, after signing two established veteran quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston during free agency, aren't desperate enough to take a quarterback that high and leave seminal players such as Carter and Hunter on the table.
In Round 2, the Giants will select second. Cleveland selects first. It's believed that general manager Joe Schoen doesn't want to get beaten to the punch by the Browns on a quarterback such as Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart or Jalen Milroe of Alabama. He may trade back up in Round 1 to prevent that from happening.
But Sanders at No. 3 doesn't appear to be on many experts' bingo cards heading Into the draft, despite Schrager suggesting the door remains open.

I still think that Shedeur makes sense to the Steelers because I hear that him and Mike Tomlin had a great meeting" ~ @PSchrags#PMSLivepic.twitter.com/TLQ8lwxUyM
