No reason Darius Robinson should still be on this team, let alone starting.
He was the "big prize" from trading down from Will Anderson. At the very worst, you're expecting a decent rotation player that flashes - he's arguably not even an NFL player.

Just incredible mismangement of assets.

DRob, Done ROBed his paychecks. Complete bust.

Horrific pick by Monti. Fell in love with his measurables.

You can tell next to nothing about a defense in preseason or the team really. 2003 Cardinals went 4-0 ended up 4-12 2009 0-4 ended up 10-6 made the playoffs. The point is people jumping on this defense now, just wait a bit until the first 4 regular games, then we'll know but until then, we haven't got much to go by in preseason.

DRob will likely fine a career after the Cardinals where he’ll be in a four-down system and play three-technique where he played well his senior season.

Drafting him to play edge/five-technique was such a massive self-own of the kind we’ve come to expect from AwesomeFart

keep sleeping on d-rob - who i'm now gonna start calling d-mob - rallis likes him and nolen - d-mob made some plays last year too but has him typecast as a bust/bum

he wasn't some top 10 pick but he has played both tackle and edge- that'll allow him and nolen to cross streams on pass rushing schemes - i think he'll be fine

this is generally true. Thats why you have to look at individual performances. We aint scheming anything to try and win for sure.
But when your ILB stands in the same spot for 6 seonds and just watches his guy run up to him, make a cut, then catch the pass...and the entire time said ILB never even twitches...until his guy takes a few more steps... thats just bad.
if your DB cannot cover a WR without grabbing him with both hands when he cuts..thats bad

I won't be shocked if LJ Collier "starts" over him. I thought he did last night. I will disagree that he shouldn't be on the team but that has more to do with the roster than his play.

sweat on the edge - lopez - nolen and d-rob on the other side with burch and stills coming in to give sweat and d-rob breathers

idk about billings - i like collier better backing up nolen

bj and pappoe gotta go - sharar and keys please but it's the simon mack show

cornerbacks - we'll probably see them all - we did last year

but murphy-bunting and dtd haven't looked the part to me in preseason

I think people are sleeping on the defense this year, the secondary is good, the d line did not have Billings, Robinson and Walter together last year, We are one good bookend pass rusher away from being a handful, just my opinion.
We are going to be a bad defense until Darius Robinson gets cut. He's been the PFF worst DT in the NFL 2 years in a row and he was beyond awful last night.

He is not worth a roster spot, every snap he takes is a huge hole for the offense to exploit. He is the Isaiah Simmons of DL, they just target him whenever possible.

Brother, he is awful. It’s legit 10vs11 when he’s out there. I’m positive a UDFA would come in & have more positive results.

Yeah the huge run from the raiders appeared to be a result of Darius getting blown off the ball leaving a massive hole.

I say yet again, the guy is playing out of position. He is OLB. That was what he played in college. The fact that Monti and Rallis continue with this horrible experiment given results to date blows my mind.

That was absolutely not what he played in college.

He was mid as an edge player. They moved him inside his final year and he hulked out.

He’s not a OLB, either. He’s too slow & stiff. The guy is a liability anywhere on the field.

i'm looking at how wide set we are upfront here to begin with - and the giant hole before the play even starts - all the raiders had to do was keep it - haven't been able to zoom in on who's who yet - twitter don't let me do that on my phone like asfn does

I think Damonic Williams is showing otherwise. lol

(once again, not defending his play just stating the depth is terrible on the D line.)

screenshot shows raiders with 8 blockers dedicated to the run

7 on the line with an 8th man coming in motion (top right) to block our edge rusher

cards had no chance here - idc if it's lopez - billings - stills - collier or d-rob - this is unacceptable - rallis and the green dot shouldn't allow this to happen imo
