New Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle joined 'The Lounge' podcast with hosts Garrett Downing and Clifton Brown to discuss his arrival in Baltimore and his vision for the offense.”

Doyle made it clear that while he's stepping into a major role, he isn't approaching it like a one-man show. Instead, he emphasized collaboration, accountability, and building an identity rooted in clear expectations — while still chasing creativity and stressing defenses.

"It's a surreal opportunity, and yet it's one that I feel ready to do, and I'm very excited about. This is a really collaborative thing with myself and our staff. This is our offense. This is the 2026 Baltimore Ravens. This is what we want it to look like. We're not going to be vague about what we're going to ask our players to do. We're going to make sure that they understand what the expectations are, and then the championship standard is holding them and ourselves to that every single day. The standard you walk by is the standard you accept, and that becomes the new standard. Knowledge is power. If you can help a player, they really don't care where you come from; they don't care how old you are. If you can help them advance their career, if you can help them advance our team, they're willing to listen, and they're wide open to that. The calling card of the offense is the chase of creativity. We're going to be hunting ways to stress the defense. To me, it always kind of starts in the run game. Your ability to move the ball, your ability to move the line of scrimmage.

Doyle's comments were telling, not just because of the confidence with which he spoke, but because of the direction he laid out. The Ravens have long been at their best when the run game sets the tone and the offense builds off that physicality, and it sounds like Doyle wants to keep that foundation — while still finding new ways to keep defenses guessing.
