Based on Tom King and Bliquis Evely's comic, this film will follow a version of Supergirl with a very different life from the adopted Superman. In the comic run, she stays on Krypton during her adolescence and becomes a superhero after a great deal of trauma. Expect a darker version of the hero here.

New Supes movie. I've never seen Supergirl before.

My expectations of the Gunnverse are still mixed. I see potential but it sure seems like it's an over-correction to the dark Snyderverse to the silly side. That works much better for characters like Guardians than it does DC. Maybe it's a good thing I have tempered expectations.

My daughter loves the line of comics this is based on. She is excited for this.

Women were commonly, and perhaps most often referred to as "girls" back then. I would know.... I was 47 years old in 1959.

Still have tempered expectations. I wasn't as high on Superman as others. There was a bunch of over the top silly and stupid in that movie.
