Late in the making but I wanted to talk about Huddy's return. Great to see him out there again, long road back for a likeable player. And best of all, his fastball had some serious bite!

Only 4th player in history to return from two TJ surgeries! Huddy looked excellent! 95 mph on the fastball which is amazing... And he tossed in a few off-speed pitches which looked very effective! To come back and register a 1-2-3 inning is some damn cool... A great story for sure!

And even Ross comes back with a single in his first at bat since late July... Wonders never cease...

It will be interesting to see if they move back to the rotation next season or if this is his new role. With two TJ surgeries, you have to wonder if they are considering a fulltime move.

All reports indicate that he will be a permanent member of the pen... His starter days are over...

It is not unusual for guys to pick up some velocity via Tommy John surgery. Eric Gagne is the poster boy for this situation. Better than ever for a few years, but ultimately the body just can't hold up.

I understand the choice of the bullpen to limit the number of pitches thrown, but relievers don't work on a fixed schedule. It will take a disciplined manager not to overuse him.
