Dayton Webber, who once became the first quadruple amputee to compete in American Cornhole League, was arrested on Monday in connection to a shooting in La Plata, Maryland, The Guardian and other outlets reported.
Webber, 27, is expected to be charged with murder, assault and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, according to The Guardian. He was arrested in suspicion of shooting and killing another 27-year-old man, Bradrick Wells.
In the aftermath of Webber's reported arrest, resurfaced clips online showed how he was able to previously shoot a gun despite having no arms or legs.

On Monday, after the news of Webber's arrest and accusations of murdering Wells during an argument in his car, video posted in January 2024 resurfaced online that showed Webber being able to load and fire a handgun.
The video came from a YouTube channel with the name "daytonjwebber," which appears to be the former cornhole player's account. In the clip, Webber loads and fires a pistol.
Other clips posted to the account include Webber firing a hunting rifle and climbing a ladder.

Webber, a quadruple amputee, had an infection at 10 months-old that gave him a 3 percent chance of living and required doctors to amputate his arms and legs in order to save him.
He became a top cornhole player, competing in the American Cornhole League and being featured in various interviews with ESPN about his journey.

Dayton Webber arrest
Webber was arrested on Monday, March 23, for allegedly shooting and killing 27-year-old Bradrick Wells in La Plata, Maryland.
According to the Charles County Sherrif's Office, Webber had been driving his car when he shot Wells, who was in the front passenger seat, during an argument. After allegedly shooting Wells, Webber then asked the rest of the passengers to get the victim out of the car. When the passengers refused and left the vehicle, Webber allegedly drove away with Wells still inside.
Police later responded to a call where they found Wells' body, and after getting a warrant for Webber's arrest, they found his car in Charlottesville, Virginia. He was being treated at a local hospital; according to The Guardian, Webber was arrested as a fugitive upon his discharge from the hospital, and deputies said they planned to book him on charges including murder, assault, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
