David Pollack spent years building his football legacy in Georgia colors.

Now, thanks to his son’s college choice, Clemson orange is about to become a much bigger part of the family wardrobe.

Pollack shared a lighthearted reaction Monday after his son, Nicholas, announced his commitment to Clemson. The former Bulldogs standout acknowledged the obvious change ahead, joking that there will be a lot more orange around him moving forward.

It’s a new chapter for a family long associated with Georgia football. David Pollack became one of the most recognizable players in program history during his time in Athens, collecting major conference awards before hearing his name called in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He later transitioned into broadcasting and became a familiar face to college football fans across the country.

Now the spotlight shifts to his son.

Nicholas Pollack, a member of the 2027 recruiting class, selected Clemson over Wake Forest, Cincinnati, East Carolina and Samford. The North Oconee High School standout brings versatility to the field, lining up at tight end while also contributing on defense at linebacker.

Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 225 pounds, Pollack has emerged as one of the more intriguing prospects in Georgia’s 2027 class. His commitment gives Clemson another future piece at tight end while also creating an unexpected connection between one of Georgia’s most accomplished former players and the Tigers.

For David Pollack, that means getting used to seeing a different shade on Saturdays.

I ain’t gonna lie, I don’t have much orange in the closet but……. We gonna have more soon! https://t.co/7tegZyrS9z
