David Ornstein: Liverpool Strong Contenders to Sign Bundesliga Forward​



Liverpool’s summer transfer plans are starting to gather pace. The Reds have already agreed a deal to sign Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes for £60m when the window opens.


Earlier today, it was reported that the club had agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old South American wonderkid Samuel Martinez from Atletico Nacional.


And now, David Ornstein has dropped a major update on the club’s next move.


With Mohamed Salah confirming he will leave at the end of the season, a new forward is a priority for Arne Slot’s side. PSG’s Bradley Barcola and RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande have been strongly linked, and there is seemingly movement on the latter of those names…​

Liverpool in ‘Strong Position’ for Yan Diomande​



According to David Ornstein, Liverpool are moving quick in their attempts to sign 19-year-old forward Yan Diomande.


“Yan Diomande a leading target for Liverpool. PSG also among suitors but #LFC firm contenders; strong position with 19yo RB Leipzig winger & if player deal looks doable club-to-club talks will follow.”


“RB Leipzig would seek €100m+ to sell.”



The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the Bundesliga since his £18m move from Leganes last summer.


Diomande has managed thirteen goals and ten assists across all competitions so far this season.​
