Josh Hokit made such a big impression at UFC 327 that he just landed himself a spot on the much-anticipated UFC White House card. The undefeated heavyweight contender will face former UFC title challenger and heavyweight knockout king Derrick Lewis.
On Saturday night, Hokit took a big step up in competition in his main card matchup with Curtis Blaydes at UFC 327 in Miami, Florida. President Donald Trump was in attendance to witness the heavyweight matchup and good thing he was. Hokit vs. Blaydes ended up being one of the greatest heavyweight fights in recent memory and an all-around incredible performance from Hokit who walked away with the biggest win of his career thus far.
Later that night, UFC CEO Dana White took to social media and revealed that a matchup between Hokit and Lewis had been added to the UFC Freedom 250 fight card on June 14 on the White House lawn. According to White, President Trump asked why Lewis wasn’t on the White House card so White called “Black Beast” and offered a fight. Lewis accepted the opportunity to fight at Trump’s birthday bash and after Hokit’s performance at UFC 327 the matchup came together like peanut butter and jelly.
Check out White’s announcement below and let us know who you’re taking for Hokit vs. Lewis!
