SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The 101st annual Dakota Relays began Friday at Howard Wood Field.

The day was highlighted by the special races. Spearfish senior Peyton VanDeest won the girls 800 meter race. Cauy Konz of Treynor, Iowa, set the meet record in the boys 200 meter dash.

Saturday’s competition was pushed back to begin at 10 a.m. due to cold temperatures.
