Through 13 games on Thursday night, the Bruins still occupy the first wildcard.

Now, though, the Bruins’ playoff odds are at 72% according to MoneyPuck. They have 10 games remaining, six on the road, and seven against playoff teams. They also have three sets of back-to-backs left.

The Bruins are back on the ice today for a practice at Warrior.

Around the league, it was a busy night in the Eastern Conference. Two matchups pitted four teams in the playoff push against each other, and the Islanders and Flyers picked up big wins over Central Division teams. The Penguins took down the Senators, and the Canadiens beat the Blue Jackets.

All three Hockey East teams are out of the NCAA tournament with losses yesterday, but three Bruins’ prospects got onto the scoresheet.

Happy Friday, catch up on Bruins and league news in today’s Daily Bean:

Boston Bruins

ROAD NARRATIVE CHANGING: The Bruins switched a seven-game road losing streak into points in their last six road games. It comes at the right time, too, as six of the 10 remaining games are on the road, and 7 of the 10 are against playoff opponents.

ICYMI: NESN revealed a new scorebug for the Red Sox yesterday. One can think that the Bruins will get a new graphics package next season (though the size of the scorebug could be smaller).

NHL News & National Hockey Now

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: The Pittsburgh Penguins picked up a big win over the Ottawa Senators last night and are back to second place in the Metropolitan Division. It took a shootout, but the Penguins snapped their quick two-game losing streak.

Pittsburgh Hockey Now: Sidney Crosby left the Penguins’ game in the second period with a lower-body injury. It was his fifth game back from a torn MCL suffered in Milan.

Montreal Hockey Now: In another important game in the playoff race, the Canadiens beat the Blue Jackets, 2-1. They are back to two points ahead of the Bruins with a game in hand.

Philly Hockey Now: The Flyers got started early and picked up a 5-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks yesterday. They have snuck back into the picture and only sit five points out of the race.

NHL.com: The New York Islanders beat the Dallas Stars on Long Island last night. It was a big win for the Islanders, who overtook the Senators for the second wildcard spot in the Eastern Conference. They are one point behind the Bruins, but the B’s have a game in hand.

Detroit Hockey Now: Detroit has been on a slide. Since January 24, when they were tied for first in the East, the Red Wings have gone 6-9-3 – the worst record in the Eastern Conference. It does not help that every other team in the conference is winning.

Sportsnet: Here is the Sportsnet roundup from yesterday’s NCAA games.

Today’s NHL Schedule

Red Wings at Sabres – 7:00 PM (US: NHLN)

Blackhawks at Rangers – 7:00 PM
