Within minutes, two 'Ryan' delivered walk-off magic for the Arizona Diamondbacks and the New York Yankees.
On Friday, D-backs star Ryan Waldschmidt hit a walk-off two-run home run to sink the Dodgers 4-3 in the bottom of the ninth inning. Just minutes before, in the other part of the country, Yankees third baseman Ryan McMahon walked it off with a sac-fly against the Atlanta Braves for a dramatic 3-2 win.
It was a bizarre connection between two 'Ryan' unfolding just minutes apart.
'Ryan' Waldschmidt stuns Dodgers
The Dodgers were on course for a win in the series opener before the D-backs mounted a late rally.
Facing closer Edwin Diaz in the bottom of the ninth, Waldschmidt absolutely crushed the ball to left-center field for a two-run home run that sealed a 4-3 victory.
This was the Dodgers' seventh consecutive loss as Arizona seems to be making life difficult for the NL West leaders on the road.

'Ryan' McMahon completes dramatic Yankees comeback
The Yankees were not able to score any runs in the first eight innings, while giving up home runs to the Braves in the eighth and ninth innings.
Down 2-0, an error from the Braves off George Lombard Jr.'s infield hit proved to be a disaster minutes later, as Austin Wells was able to come up with an RBI double. Up next, Ben Rice tied the game 2-2 with his RBI single off the right-field wall.
After David Bednar worked a scoreless top of the 10th, Ryan McMahon stepped up with a chance to finish the comeback. The third baseman hit a walk-off sacrifice fly to the right field, bringing Luis Garcia Jr. home and completing New York's 3-2 victory.
Overall, MLB witnessed two incredible games that needed some 'Ryan' magic to get it done.
