Cucurella’s Real Madrid move confirmed as Chelsea step up efforts to sign left-back
Chelsea have confirmed that Marc Cucurella has left the club to join Real Madrid.
Cucurella joined Chelsea in 2022, and was part of the team which won the Club World Cup and Conference League trophies in 2025.
The fee is believed to be worth around £52m, with Cucurella signing a six-year deal with the Spanish giants.

“Everyone at Chelsea FC would like to thank Marc for his efforts during his time at the club and for the role he played in our recent achievements,” Chelsea said in a statement.
“We wish him every success as he begins the next stage of his career.”
Chelsea are now stepping up their efforts to sign a replacement for Cucurella at left-back, following confirmation of his departure.
