Let me get this straight -

Less than a half-year after having the QB who took us to the playoffs two straight times go out the door and leaving the QB responsibility in the hands of a young guy with a high upside but still a questionmark...

We're supposed to get rid of the questionmark in favor of turning the keys to the car over to a couple of unproven guys with considerably less upside than the guy we let go.

In less than one year, we'd go from a team 2-deep in capable/semi-capable quarterbacking to a pretty much a quarterbackless team looking to get lucky with Whitehurst/Anderson.

(Note - I like both Anderson and Whitehurst here as backups to our front line guy; but not as all we've got to hang our hats on).

crazy thread! You don't trade him without seeing what we have in him sorry thats just dumb! Let alone to a division rival. Matt may end up being our qbof and we don't even know it yet without giving him a real shot! If he works out thats great if not you look for a QB NEXT year not this year.

If Seattle gave up their first for Leinart I'd send him packing, we could have an outstanding 3-4 if we invest 2 first round picks and sign Foote/Porter. Get another unproven talented QB like Leinart and I see not much of a difference. Heck I'd rather have Vick inaccurate or not rather than Leinart.

And lets face it, the chances of him playing good enough for the Cards to pay him that money next year are next to nothing. He is gone in a year anyway, might as well get a first from Seattle and go with another unproven QB.
