The Dallas Cowboys have requested to interview New York Giants interim defensive coordinator Charlie Bullen for the team’s open coordinator job, sources confirmed to DLLS.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo first reported the move.
The Cowboys are reportedly awaiting for permission from the Giants to interview Bullen.
Bullen, 41, was hired by the Giants in 2024 as the team’s outside linebackers coach.
Following the firing of the team’s defensive coordinator Shane Bown last November, Bullen was promoted to interim defensive coordinator.
Before his time in New York, Bullen served as the outside linebackers coach/pass rush coordinator at the University of Illinois in 2023.
Between 2012 and 2022, Bullen spent a decade coaching in the NFL, serving as an assistant with the Miami Dolphins from 2013 to 2018 where he worked with the linebackers and defensive line, before moving on to coach linebackers for the Arizona Cardinals from 2019 to 2022.
Earlier on Wednesday, Dallas requested to interview Philadelphia Eagles passing game coordinator/DB coach Christian Parker for the teams defensive coordinator position.
