With the No. 44 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys have selected defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku.
Ezeiruaku won the ACC Played of the Year award last season at Boston College and finished second in the country with 16.5 sacks.
On many prospect rankings, Ezeiruaku was ranked in the top 3 of his position, despite his relatively undersized build for an OLB - 6-2, 248 pounds.
Ezeiruaku, assuming he matures into the job, now has a chance as he pairs opposite Micah Parsons to establish an intimidating edge rush game.
Of course, guys like Sam Williams, Dante Fowler and Marshawn Kneeland will want to have something to say about that.
So, Ezeiruaku at No. 44.
What's scout Daniel Jeremiah think of him?
"Ezeiruaku is a skilled pass rusher with some similarities to Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson, whose future with the team remains murky," Jeremiah wrote in his final mock draft.
Last season, Ezeiruaku won the Ted Hendricks Award as the nation's top defensive end.
So he is productive.
He was also the quickest D-lineman in the short shuttle drills at the Scouting Combine in Indy and ... as befits what new coach Brian Schottenheimer is looking for in character, he served as a team captain at Boston College.
In Thursday’s reaction, Parsons praised Dallas pick of OG Tyler Booker, but wished his team would’ve targeted “his side of the ball.”
Now Micah gets his wish with Dallas’ second-round pick.
