Olympique de Marseille's players had promised a worthy response after their Champions League setback. They kept their word on Tuesday night by beating Rennes 3-0 in the Coupe de France round of 16. That result put a smile on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's face.
"This victory means a lot after such a tough week. The team showed humility. I think we've talked enough lately, it was time to take action. We met with the supporters on Monday, and we owed them this. Now, it's not over—we need consistency. We know we're capable of great things when we're at our best, when we play like this, it's enjoyable. We have to keep going in the same way," declared the Gabonese striker on beIN Sports.
