Having played for likes of Fiji, Northampton and Lyon, Matavesi will return to Twickenham with Cornwall having played in their 2016 County Championship win [Simon Bryant]
Cornwall captain Sam Matavesi said his side must still get better if they are to win the County Championship.
The Black and Gold thrashed three-time reigning champions Kent for the second time in as many weeks on Saturday to win their semi-final 129-33 on aggregate.
Cornwall will face Lancashire at Twickenham this weekend as they aim for a first Bill Beaumont Cup since they last reached the final in 2022.
"Is there a lot to work on if we're going to win a final? 100%, massively," Fiji forward Matavesi, 34, told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"I said after the game, if we're serious about that we've got to turn up Tuesday and Thursday and we've got to put in the effort at training to give us a bit more clarity, a bit more detail for the weekend.
"Next week changes because we're at Twickenham. We've not won there for four years so I think if we can get all our work done in the week, we can go out there with a bit of confidence and actually enjoy the occasion knowing that we've put the work in."

Cornwall have one of their best squads in recent years with top-flight experience through Matavesi, his brother Josh, former Exeter back Max Bodilly and ex- Gloucester full-back Kyle Moyle.
They also have experienced Cornwall campaigners such as Matt Shepherd, Ben Priddey and Alex Ducker in their ranks.
Many of the side, including Matavesi, were part of the Camborne team that won the National Two West title this season and he is hopeful they can add a second trophy to a successful season.
"You shouldn't get bored of doing this. It's not every week you get to play at Twickenham, not every week you get to play for a cup to lift," he said.
"But we've got we've got to work hard Tuesday and Thursday and get the prep right Friday to put in a performance on Saturday and I'm sure we will."
