Corbin Carroll's hamate injury is to his right (non-throwing) hand. He will undergo surgery today and will miss the World Baseball Classic, but he could still be ready for Opening Day.

We were already paper thin in the outfield. Jackson Holliday had the exact same thing happen and is having surgery as well today. He won't make opening day and I doubt Carroll will either.

Corbin Carroll suffered the injury on a swing during live BP, he was not hit by a pitch, Torey Lovullo said.
He hit a home run just before, but he broke his hamate hitting a foul ball.
