The Cleveland Cavaliers breezed through their opening-round matchup against the Miami Heat, pulling off a 4-0 sweep. However, things don't appear as easy in the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Indiana Pacers.
Led by Tyrese Haliburton, who finished with 22 points and 13 assists, the Pacers were able to take down the Cavaliers 121-112 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland on Sunday.
The Cavs will have a chance to even the series Tuesday night, but a pregame update surrounding three of the team's best players may not instill too much confidence in them.
As confirmed by Cavs beat reporter Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com, both the 2025 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Evan Mobley (ankle) and two-time NBA All-Star Darius Garland (toe) missed shootaround. In addition to them, Underdog also reported De'Andre Hunter (thumb) as missing from the shootaround.

The trio's absence from the shootaround comes just one day after ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst broke the news that there was a possibility the Cavaliers may be missing all three.
"The big news is that two of Cleveland's best players Evan Mobley, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year and De'Andre Hunter whose their key reserve off the bench they traded for at midseason are being listed as questionable," Windhorst said. "With different injuries they suffered in the fourth quarter of their Game 1 loss against the Pacers."
Hunter dislocated his thumb after Benedict Mathurin blocked his dunk attempt in the fourth, while Mobley stepped on the foot of Pacers center Myles Turner, rolling his ankle. As for Garland, he has missed the last three games with a sprained toe, and it's unclear when he will return.
As of writing, ESPN BET has the Cavs favored by 7.5 points. However, if Cleveland is without its key players, the Pacers may be in a prime position to go up 2-0 on the series before returning to Indiana.
