The Washington Commanders announced to the NFL world that in 2025, they're going for it all.
With Jayden Daniels still on his rookie contract, the Commanders traded for Laremy Tunsil to shore up the left tackle spot and All-Pro receiver Deebo Samuel to help Terry McLaurin and give Daniels another weapon.
So, what are the expectations for Deebo in Kliff Kingsbury's offense?
We aren't likely to see the 2021 All-Pro season, which was the only year Samuel surpassed 1,000 receiving yards, but what about something close?
ESPN's Mike Clay gives out his fantasy projections for the league in 2025, and when it comes to Deebo's output, it paints him as the ideal No. 2 for Daniels.
Samuel 2025 projection: 63 receptions, 890 yards, four touchdowns.

That'll work, right?
Samuel's 63 recpetions would be the second-most in his career, the 890 yards the third-most, and his four touchdowns are a solid return after three last season.
Plus, Clay has Samuel rushing for 113 yards and a touchdown on 25 attempts as Kingsbury likes to get him involved in the run game.
Overall, if this is what Samuel's season in Washington looks like, we think that is rather serviceable. Now, is it worth the $17.5 million he's being paid this season? No, but Samuel isn't coming to the Commanders to be a superstar; he's coming to be a cog in the machine.
That is precisely what his numbers tell us he will be.
He won't be the swashbuckling receiver we saw in 2021, but if Deebo can hit Clay's projections, that will mean he would have been a serviceable member of the offense, and hopefully helped the Commanders make it back to the postseason.
