Along with these retro ties, a new "Hail Raiser" uniform features a new look for the Commanders with a new helmet design. These all-black uniforms will stick out on the field due to their sharp all-black nature.

The team's primary jersey is shifting to a darker burgundy color compared to their slightly brighter one from years prior. On the back of the jersey, the team will use block-style lettering for each player's last name and number. The team also opted to include player numbers on the sleeves of their jerseys, a feature only on their Super Bowl Era alternate uniforms last season. Washington can opt to match this jersey with burgundy pants, or opt to wear their gold ones.

Along with the burgundy, the team has its Super Bowl Era white jersey equipped in their primary arsenal. This new white uniform will feature burgundy and gold stripes under the sleeve player numbers. The Commanders can opt to wear their gold or white pants with this jersey.

Their new alternate jersey, dubbed the "Hail Raiser," looks to be one of the sharpest in the league. The black setup will also feature a new "low gloss" helmet to match the jersey and pants. The Hail Raiser uniforms are also equipped with a block style font on the numbers and nameplates. According to the team's website, "These all-black "alter egos" convey a stealth quality exhibited by elite units in battle and embody the identity of the Commander: a leader of warriors."

All three of their new jerseys will have no team plate or logo on the front.

Across the board, the Commanders also made changes to their helmets. All three of their new uniform setups will feature a three stripe centerpiece down the middle of the helmet lengthwise. The burgundy and white jerseys are equipped with a gold facemask, which differ from their previous legacy burgundy ones.

The team's most notable changes comes on their "Hail Raiser" all-black uniform. This season, the Commanders will have a black helmet to match their new alternative jersey.

The helmet, the sole black facemask on the jersey trio, will feature a spear through the Washington "W" that will point right at the opposing team. The spear design was first featured on the team's helmet in 1967, and remained through the 1969 NFL season. According to the team, the spear "symbolizes the top fighters, the front lines, those leading a mission who are unafraid to step into the fire." The helmet will have a "low gloss" finish, making it appear almost in a matte-like manner.
