The Washington Commanders are putting the pads on for the first time at training camp today, and head coach Dan Quinn is excited to get some tackling going on the fields. LB Kain Medrano(hamstring) was removed from the active/PUP list after passing his physical(hamstring). The Commanders have been dealing with several injuries, and have already signed camp replacements for punter Tress Way(pec) and center Nick Allegretti(calf). Quinn said Allegretti is still on track to return soon, and signing Trey Hill was to be able to run camp with several players available to snap the ball. The team will also be reassessing CB Trey Amos(fibula) and Way on Thursday.

Quinn said the team will feature more red zone work today, and this is something the team continues to work on early at camp. The pads come on today, and Quinn said he discussed sparring in boxing, and knowing when to pull back in practice.
