The Washington Commanders will be back in action this weekend — sort of. The Commanders will host their annual rookie minicamp, and while there were only five picks from the 2025 NFL draft, Washington announced the signing of 10 undrafted free agents on Thursday.

Here are those 10 UDFAs:

  • N.C. State G Tim McKay
  • UCF DT Ricky Barber
  • Oklahoma State S Trey Rucker
  • Jackson State S Robert McDaniel
  • Louisiana CB Car'lin Vigers
  • Florida State CB Fentrell Cypress
  • Boston College LB Cam Arnold
  • Louisville WR Ja'Corey Brooks
  • UCF WR Jacoby Jones
  • UCLA LB Ale Kaho

Additionally, the Commanders will host players on a tryout basis. The most notable name is former Rice safety Gabe Taylor — the younger brother of the legendary Sean Taylor. The younger Taylor had a solid college career and tested well in the pre-draft process. He had other options, but chose to attend Washington's rookie minicamp, hoping to impress coaches and earn a contract and training camp invitation. Taylor has the Commanders' fans on his side.

The Commanders will hold at least two practices this weekend — one on Friday and one on Saturday. We will also hear from head coach Dan Quinn and perhaps some of Washington's rookie class.

McKay is a name to watch. Once thought to be a solid mid-round prospect, an injury last season caused him to go undrafted. He could be retained for young depth on the interior of Washington's O-Line. Brooks is a big-time talent who would give the Commanders more size at wide receiver. McDaniel is a player Washington loved throughout the pre-draft process.
