Between now and training camp, we will be going through the Indianapolis Colts' full 90-man roster, previewing each player.
Up next is offensive tackle Nolan Rucci, who wears No. 76.
The Colts signed Rucci following the 2026 NFL draft as an undrafted free agent.
After beginning his career at Wisconsin, where he had minimal playing time, Rucci transferred to Penn State and was the starting right tackle for the last two seasons.
During that span, he surrendered only two sacks over 599 pass-blocking snaps. In 2025 specifically, Rucci gave up 16 pressures and ranked 160th among tackles in PFF's pass-blocking efficiency metric. He was penalized only once and was tied for 31st in run-blocking grade.
Rucci packs a lot of upside, which could help him compete for a roster spot. Unless the Colts go heavy and keep an extra offensive tackle on the 53-man, Rucci will be competing with Luke Tenuta, Blake Freeland, and Bayron Matos for the two backup roster spots at offensive tackle. If he doesn't make the team, I'm sure the Colts would love to get him back on the practice squad.
