Cam Bynum, the mastermind behind several viral endzone celebrations for the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, signed with the Indianapolis Colts when free agency began earlier this month. Although he'll look to bring his contagious energy and dance moves to Indianapolis, he won't bring his No. 24 jersey.
The Colts announced a couple of jersey numbers for newly acquired players on Wednesday. Bynum will wear No. 27 in Indianapolis this season. Interestingly, the Colts don't have anyone on the roster who wears No. 24.
Some players care more than others about keeping their jersey numbers. But even though that could be perceived as the case for Bynum, he also wore No. 24 in college at the University of California-Berkeley.
Regardless of what he wears, Bynum wants to bring the same playmaking ability and energy to Indianapolis. After being selected with the 125th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Bynum started 54 of 68 games in four seasons, intercepting eight passes and recovering four fumbles. Bynum signed a four-year, $60 million deal with $26 million guaranteed with the Colts this month.
