The Indianapolis Colts announced that they have re-signed tight end Mo Alie-Cox. So now with Alie-Cox back in the mix, what does the Colts' tight end depth chart currently look like ahead of the 2025 NFL draft?

According to James Boyd of The Athletic, Alie-Cox is returning to the Colts on a one-year deal. This will be his ninth season with the team.

Bringing Alie-Cox back helps raise the floor of the Colts' tight end position. Beyond needing to add a greater pass-catching presence to this position group, experienced depth was a need as well. Before Alie-Cox was re-signed, only Will Mallory and Drew Ogletree had seen somewhat steady playing time in recent seasons.

In addition to that component, Alie-Cox has also been a heavily utilized run-blocker and an effective one at that, ranking 15th last season among all tight ends in PFF's run-blocking grade. That element is a big part of playing the position in Shane Steichen's offense.

With all that said, as we detailed recently, this re-signing shouldn't impact the Colts' approach at the tight end position in this year's NFL draft.
