When meeting with reporters on Monday following the Indianapolis Colts' win over the Denver Broncos, head coach Shane Steichen provided some brief injury updates on cornerback Charvarius Ward and defensive end Laiatu Latu.

Ward was ruled out of Sunday's game last Friday as he was still in concussion protocol. Latu, who was listed as questionable on the final injury report, ended up being inactive due to a hamstring injury.

According to Jake Arthur of the Roundtable Network, Steichen said that both Ward and Latu are progressing well.

"We'll see how this week progresses," Steichen said.

The Colts, of course, very much missed having these two players on the field against Denver.

Quarterback Bo Nix was quite efficient for much of the day against the Colts' secondary, with the Denver offense moving the ball with relative ease for the first two-plus quarters of the game.

The pass rush, meanwhile, mustered just five total pressures on the day, according to Pro Football Focus.

The Colts will be back on the practice field on Wednesday and with that will be the team's first official injury report of the week.
