Indianapolis Colts' defensive tackle DeForest Buckner popped up on Wednesday's injury report with a back issue.

He ended up being a non-participant in that practice.

However, on Thursday, Buckner told the media that he should be fine for Sunday's Week 4 matchup with the LA Rams.

Buckner added that he and the training staff have built out a plan for navigating this back issue that he's had to navigate for several years.

We all know Buckner has the ability to fill his own column on the stat sheet. But his mere presence on the field makes every Colts defender around him better.

The attention Buckner draws helps create mismatches or advantageous opportunities for others in the front seven, and the quick push he's often able to generate up the middle benefits the Indianapolis secondary.

Thursday's injury report, which comes out later this afternoon, will tell us whether or not Buckner returned to practice, but regardless, from the sounds of it, that doesn't seem like it will impact his status for this week's game.
