Sweeping Cleveland and the taking 3 of 4 from the Phillies was not expected. What would be expected is to sweep the Rockies.
That’s asking a lot coming off of these past 7 games… however, the schedule doesn’t get any easier with the 9 game eastcoast roadie coming right after this series.
It would be extremely beneficial if this team can sweep Colorado and use some of that cushion as they had east.

Just in general I don’t understand weekly power rankings in a sport that plays 162 games.

Torey Lovullo said that Ryne Nelson could pitch out of the bullpen on Wednesday depending on need.

If he is not needed, Lovullo said that Nelson will be pushed back to start on Friday.

Lovullo said the club could go with a six-man rotation for a turn through before cutting back down to five. He did not say that Nelson would definitively be the one to shift to the bullpen after that.
